I can almost picture the scene. Sitting quietly.. sniffing. "Hmm, I don't remember having a roast in the oven..." 😄🐖
For me, it was also one of those: ask me how I know-stories 😉
It's a requirement for graduating as an electronic engineer, to have at least 3 burn marks from a soldering iron.

@oz1tmm@techhub.social Now I feel I need to correct the scene you are probably picturing: This took place in the days when moving a phone number from one physical address to another meant that someone at a telephone station (me, in the summer of 1986) had to disconnect one cable pair and connect another. So I was sitting up on a ladder surrounded by shelves of connectors, and the soldering iron was hanging in its power cord over one of the shelves while I was peeling cable ends.
