@oz1tmm@techhub.social Yes, you’re right! I once burned a 3 cm² oval on my arm from a hanging soldering iron, and it definitely smelled like pork. Since I didn’t feel any pain at first (I guess because pain sensors are sparse on the underside of the arm), apart from a rapidly increasing feeling of vague discomfort, the smell of frying bacon was the first sensory perception I got. @ricardo@mastodon.bsd.cafe

@avadeaux@mastodonsweden.se I can almost picture the scene. Sitting quietly.. sniffing. "Hmm, I don't remember having a roast in the oven..." 😄🐖 For me, it was also one of those: ask me how I know-stories 😉 It's a requirement for graduating as an electronic engineer, to have at least 3 burn marks from a soldering iron.
