@endDRM@hostux.social There are arguments on both sides. I put it to you that IP law now needs to be exercised to push back against the GAFAM land grab, and I applaud the Internet Archive for using LCP DRM, given they probably had to due to conditions set by original rightsholders, but this had the unforeseen side effect of preventing unethical, unwanted "AI" training which is actually illegal in my country. They seem to have engaged in "wilful ignorance" with very shaky arguments for its need. DRM for me!
