I found out why my vet&#39;s office is so backed up lately. The woman who ran the front desk, and hence made the clinic run, got sick and tired of being profiled and pulled over by federal agents on her work commute. She&#39;s a white citizen, married to someone with a Latinx last name. So it seems that ICE/CBP are using automatic license plate readers to identify cars with owners with foreign sounding names, and stopping them over and over. She quit her job and now stays at home. #ICEOut

@VisualStuart@pdx.social that wouldn't work really well in Louisiana since this Use to be a Spanish and French colony. I can imagine it would be even worse in Texas and Florida

At least they let you know. My mother's old vet just put up a sign saying "STAFFING ISSUES" and closed up shop. Then accused my mother of being a no-show when she called to reschedule and denying they were closed. Yeah she doesn't go there anymore...
