Mom used to tell how in soviet times – because everything was deficit and quality control wasn't much of a thing – people used to buy all kinds of stuff and either fix the production errors or remake into different stuff they actually needed. I feel that I'm continuing the way – today I received my utterly beautiful embroidered linen blouses, sighed heavenly and instantly redid buttonholes for one, because something was wrong with the original thread tensions and they wouldn't hold. #sewing
