NSW is considering minimum standards for things like insulation, efficient hot water etc - this is very good but it won't happen on its own. People need to make submissions and there is help available on doing just that - https://www.sydneyalliance.org.au/mmees-consultation Relevant to renters obviously but also landlords and everyone in NSW who cares about this stuff.
