@lake@autonomous.zone It definitely reads that way, and it makes sense considering the repressive nature of European culture during the Victorian era. I mean, how would someone raised to think bodies were filthy *not* be super hung up on them? Or the feelings people had when seeing others' bodies?
I've been appreciating your posts on this book because it's one Jung book on our bookshelf I haven't been able to get into, and now I'm very much considering trying again! He's such an interesting person. Have you read the Red Book or any of the Black Books?

@Siiin@pagan.plus definitely, such a heavy culture of repression in those days, makes total sense to me that it would cause neuroses en masse glad you’ve been appreciating them ! the book has been way more engrossing than I expected. I’ve read books *about* Jung’s theories but no direct source until now, was recommended to start with this one ! might go for the red book next?
