@stephanie I went to CES two (?) years ago and one of the big things Google was pushing there was that they were adding Gemini support to their messaging app so you could have AI write your texts. I *still* don't understand how that was considered such a big thing - do people really have such a hard time writing a damn TEXT MESSAGE?
The sheer laziness and brain drain that AI is enabling is exhausting to experience in real time.

@stephanie@ottawa.place I still think the big ploy behind the megacorp AI systems is to make "the common folk" so dependent on their systems to get by in day to day life that we're unable to operate without them. True technofeudalism, empowered by a layer of "AI Nobles" between us and the "kings". I feel like a crazy conspiracy theorist when I write it out, but I swear it's the way things are moving.
