@idzie@kolektiva.social I live in the wake of melted glaciers that carved the landscape into hills and valleys rife with their rocky debris. The trees around me are relatively young, white pines and red maples with scattered hickories and oaks, grown from land cleared for farms then abandoned. The undergrowth is lush and scattered with laurels, spicebush, and blueberries, with carpets of wintergreen, ferns, and sedges.
