@yaxu@post.lurk.org when studying the history of sound art etc. ages ago at uni their dreadful fascistic inclinations wasn’t even touched on.
I did feel for the lecturer though; other excerpts re incorporating “any” sounds into music seemed an important early stage to later history, and he had such limited time to fit such a large swathe of how ideas connected.

@Cognessence@social.linux.pizzI think the idea that the use of sounds or noises in art/music started in Europe is obviously untrue, and that Russolo's artificial history was constructed in the same time+place as proto-fascism is worth a quick mention.
