@yaxu@post.lurk.org honestly, I doubt the effectiveness of marketing on those platforms anyways from my experience -- for events (my experience here is performance industry, though). Wouldn't have seen it if you had, so thanks for posting here instead!

@axolotl_logic@hachyderm.io Yes these platforms are very good at making you feel seen, with all the 'likes' etc, but in practice the translation to real honest engagement is tiny - the platforms are also hyper-optimised for stopping you from engaging with anything outside of them.
