this isn't a movie that makes a whole lot of sense, and steve martin really cannot sell the new york italian mob guy as such. still, there's a certain kind of charm to the sheer nora ephron-ness of the writing and these are actors one appreciates seeing do their thing. 90 odd minutes i don't regret but feel unlikely to revisit.

@brennen@federation.p1k3.com an odd movie for me; I have no memories of its existence and have never seen the movie but have clear memories of the poster (from browsing VHS cases at the movie rental places of my childhood)
