SETI hasn't succeeded so far in bringing home a reptilian friend from the galaxy nearby. A thing is that the abundance of self-assessed Intelligence like our own might not be a thing. In the end we are such an intelligent specie that we could develop new viruses, the Fiat Duna and the whole Maga thing. An absolute total of self-harming smartness that you can hardly reproduce. I think a SETS project might have much better chances of succeeding.
