@cczona@hachyderm.io @pojntfx@mastodon.social I wonder how long it will take for the rest of the world to a) realize what's going on, b) arrive at the objectively valid conclusion and c) act on it and see it through. Recently past experience (COVID-19) shows that being a tall order. Anyway, I wonder when, if so, people who actively rejected contact with LLMs will be in extremely high demand, being knowledge bearers in teaching and technical lead positions.

@datenwolf@chaos.social @cczona@hachyderm.io @pojntfx@mastodon.social The longer this goes on, the fewer of us will be left. And we're suffering in the meantime.

@datenwolf@chaos.social @cczona@hachyderm.io @pojntfx@mastodon.social Taiwan handled COVID-19 very well, perhaps we could learn from their experience? https://www.wired.com/story/how-taiwans-unlikely-digital-minister-hacked-the-pandemic/ (Also see Tang's new book, Finding Light Through the Cracks https://www.co-intelligence.institute/book-audrey ) Obviously, TSMC and therefore many others in Taiwan have a stake in the AI boom, but by all accounts the big AI investors are frustrated TSMC won't ramp up production even faster. In other words, TSMC is already not pursuing the bubble full speed.
