The idea that the KeePassXC database with your passwords is within your own ecosystem, and not on someone else's computer, is absolutely worth the minor hoops you have to crawl through.

@thesaigoneer@social.linux.pizza Also, *because* the database is strongly encrypted, it can be kept safely on even relatively untrusted remote storage if doing so makes accessing it from different endpoints easier. Without the passphrase, the most an adversary can really tell about it is that it's a Keepass format database, and some basic metadata about the encryption (encryption algorithm, key derivation settings, ...).
