So here is southern South America on a similar scale to the original Europe map.
Not surprisingly density is generally much lower, likely for the reasons @mdione@en.osm.town mentioned.
No great surprise in Chile, with the densely populated Santiago/Valparaíso regions and the Central Valley south of that showing up.
In Argentina, Buenos Aires is less prominent than I expected. I guess Neuquen and Jujuy (and Tacna in Peru) have particularly dedicated mappers?

@gedankenstuecke@scholar.social @richlv@mastodon.social @amapanda@en.osm.town @mdione@en.osm.town Looking at place=hamlet, Central Chile and southern Peru are prominent. Usage of place=locality and place=isolated_dwelling is too low to show up on the heatmap with these parameters.

@alan@en.osm.town @richlv@mastodon.social @amapanda@en.osm.town @mdione@en.osm.town thanks! Super interesting to see! Definitely looks like there's little pockets where there's very engaged mappers!
