@amapanda@en.osm.town I imagine that the number of place names is related to Galicia's famously smaller agricultural lands (minifundios, as opposed to the latifundios that were normal in the rest of Spain). If you can read Spanish, see https://es.wikipedia.org/wiki/Minifundio .
