Another week starts, and another day I ask myself if I should take a leap of faith and bet everything on my art… except I have a kid and I can’t play with the finances 🫠
I wonder what the best strategy is to do the career switch. I’m done with programming. I like the income but I hate my days. I’m gonna burnout hard if I continue like this

@Juankprada@mstdn.jp I'm under the impression that artists don't earn much. And having kids doesn't allow for much flexibility. If you really really are fed up with programming, I think that you should work to reduce your expenses to absolute minimum first and check what is lowest amount of money you need to make, this will give you better insight on what is possible and what is not. When changing job you usually search for better offer first and resign from your current one later. I'm not sure how to translate it to working as artist, tho.
