I'm on KDE and lately I've been having an issue where my Firefox window will freeze up like yours, and the way to get it back to normal is to: 1. Create a new tab or click an existing tab (the screen will not update, this is expected) 2. Minimize Firefox, move the mouse cursor away from the Firefox icon in the taskbar to avoid rendering a preview 3. Wait 5 seconds 4. Restore the Firefox window Give it a try and see if it helps!
