@benfell @georgetakei i've come to think of political power and economic power as proxies for the power of violence. the coagulation of influence and capital grants access to bombs, planes, tanks, and guns. meanwhile, those bombs, planes, tanks, and guns can be loaded on ships, sent out internationally, and used to acquire the means to coagulate more political and economic power. the reason education is a threat to all of this, at least in my estimation, is that it helps you see the interplay
