Gaming... When did you try Linux for the last time? In 2001?
I don't own a Windows computer yet I game all the time! Including tripple A games! I don't play Bungie studio games because they actively block Linux, but I don't like their games anyways.
Engineering... If you need to use a perticular software and can't use a FOSS counterpart, I agree.
