I'm at the point now where I'm trying to squeeze every penny I can out of things in order to afford the constantly rising price of food. I managed to save $20 on my internet (which is usually $30) via the Broadband pilot, and I was finally able to "downgrade" my phone plan from $35 to $25. I put downgrade in quotes because when Boost bought Virgin Mobile I was grandfathered in on my old plan price. I've been trying for a few years to get the same price I pay for my youngest kid's plan, but they said I couldn't do it. By happenstance today, trying to unsubscribe from a bunch of promotional emails I didn't sign up for, I discovered that I'm now able to change my plan to the cheaper one. It's not really a downgrade because it's cheaper, plus I went from 3GB of data to 30. But I'm not going to split hairs about it. If they want to call more free data and a cheaper bill a downgrade, go ahead. #Poverty #Capitalism
