@yadt@tech.lgbt yes, but when you delete your own post on those platforms, it stops being visible on those platforms. This is an awareness check to see if people understand that that is not the case on /this/ platform.
As an operator of a public service, I am hearing from more and more members that they do not know this, and none of the software or apps are explaining it to them.

@jaz@toot.wales @yadt@tech.lgbt I’m pleased you’re talking about it because it’s something that a lot of Fedi advocates seem to gloss over when they talk about how privacy-respecting it is. Probably because it’s a clear demerit of a decentralised approach
