Had a moment in the last week where I ran across a job post here on the Masto for a Palantir architect at a former org that had been a significant part of my career.
Job posts being what they are, the plug for it could have been exaggerated, but the blurb indicated that the org goal was to make Thiel's products a key part of their tech strategy going forward.
It saddened me more than I expected it to...

It probably should not have, as I left the org shortly after the founder and CEO died, and there were increasingly clear indications that the company was walking away from the culture that made them special. That became really clear when they broke their 50 year core philosophy of never having RIFed 3 years ago with a 4% layoff in the "modern" US Corporate style (via email, and a demand that the RIFed staff train their lower-paid replacements on the way out to get their severance).
