@thirstybear@agilodon.social tl;dr The cognitive load model that gets regurgitated around the place (especially wrt TT but elsewhere too) is about _designing teaching material_, not _applying knowledge_. Which makes it nonsense. It doesn't matter how hard cardiology is to learn, or category theory, or nuclear physics. Nor does it matter how long it takes. Cognitive load is about applying your knowledge, experience and insight _in the moment_. It turns out the traditional model is _terrible_ for this.
