I was also initially wondering if I could use an ASU generated image on another device of an identical model. Haven't tried that yet, but I guess the answer is yes, because the config files aren't part of the ASU image? And as I want to have the same packages installed on both devices? Only the config is supposed to differ between the two devices.

@T_X@chaos.social @RoganDawes@infosec.exchange configurations are backed up and never leave your device. The server only builds things based on the packages you request. Builds are cached, so if you have a fleet of x device with the same packages, they all end up using the same image. You may add custom configurations via the firmware selector, however that’s a bit different from upgrading your device.
