So I got into Vanquish recently. It is I think one of the strangest blends of genres I've seen. On one hand it's an early 2010s shooter with cover mechanics, regenerating health and military blah blah dialogue, on the other ... you can just zoom around and shoot in slow motion and generally feels like a kind of spiritual predecessor to Metal Gear Rising. It's a game that I would love to see revisited in the modern day, mostly to strip the weird cover mechanic out and make it even more crazy mobile haha. #Vanquish #gaming
