Ever since Claude started to get aggressive with their rate limiting I started experimenting with OpenCode (https://opencode.ai) specifically using MiniMax 2.5 on OpenRouter (https://openrouter.ai/minimax/minimax-m2.5). It is surprisingly good. It makes me excited for when I can get a Mac Studio Ultra for a reasonable price and load a large model to have everything running local. It might be awhile before that is reasonable though.
