One of the best things about retiring is that I have zero f*&ks to give. I'm not the most diplomatic person at the best of times, but I try to be polite, and my clients tend to value my “directness." (Or that's what I keep telling myself…) But with only a few weeks left to go, there’s this liberating sense that, especially for this one fairly new and somewhat annoying client, I can be myself. So... "Dear client, As soon as possible" is basically useless to me as a deadline.”
