Nicola Willis is describing the EV subsidies as
"... subsidies to millionaires in Remuera."
Isn't that the idea? Sell more new EVs incl to the wealthy, they then sell as second hand vehicles in a couple of years, resulting in a much faster transition of the overall vehicle fleet?
