@JL_Lycette This is one of the most empowering things I have done professionally. Place the ask in direct competition to family time, wellbeing, free time, fitness, etc. I had to tell a person I admired no. His response? "I wish I would have said no when I was your age, now I'm doing this shitty job". Coming from a Chief Medical Officer of a hospital. When the ask is reasonable, I offer a removal of what I think are comparable duties. Good luck.
