I have delete now linktr.ee after I see its now use AI and want to use the Content of the Users to train there AI. I am thinking about to make a own Page where I can show my Comics and other Links. Just the question which one is a good place? I think about to make a whole Website where I can publish my Comics, showing the characters etc. Where can I build a own Website for me without that they steal everything for gen AI?

@fennek@bark.lgbt Can you write HTML, or are willing to learn? It's not as complicated as it's often made out to be, it's just a markup language (like markdown is) but fancier! Anyway if so, that opens up your options a LOT. Neocities or basically any web host that lets you upload files (like, not a VPS provider like us turbonerds use).

@fennek@bark.lgbt Web developer here. So, a couple of things here you should be aware of. I 100% agree that a personal web site is the way to go. They are easy to set up. Find a hosting provider that's cheap (don't go with free because you get what you pay for and with the free ones you'll likely be the product and that would just put you back into the problem that got you here in the first place). As for preventing AI from scraping your content, the answer is, well, you can't (there's more). (cont'd)
