The more I use my iPad, the less I want to use stand-alone apps on it. It’s not just that they are full of unwanted content that can be (partly) blocked in Safari. It’s also that their (seemingly inevitable) GUI quirks make it nearly impossible to keep track of what I am viewing/reading, to make connections, to record stuff, etc. Everything is fragmented, and therefore unmanageable. At least by doing everything in Safari, I still have a chance to be able to keep things under (partial) control.
