@zwol@hackers.town @sue@glasgow.social I started blogging in 1997 (before it was even called that!) and I was able to fund it by working a second job. I did make a little money from ads around 2007-2013 but it dried up completely. The second job continues to this day to fund my blogging on my own site... (I do have a few affiliate links, which I call out, but it's always a thing I've actually used, and even then I make almost nothing from it but it does help keep things going. I'm still conflicted by it.) 2/2
