@draNgNon@hachyderm.io Just about all graphics or GIS software I can think of supports some form of layers that you could use for this so I assume you are after some more specific functionality related to the layers, could you be more specific?

@smithkm@mastodon.social generally speaking there are software like wonderdraft or inkarnate that are general map utilties for made-up maps. Cities can be generated with little effort at https://watabou.github.io/city.html or https://www.fantasytowngenerator.com/ but they all seem to assume a medieval town with no underground. of course using blender or something like that would work, but that's a big learning curve to map out a city for a homebrew ttrpg. since so many tttpg's do involve cities and underground situations, I thought I would ask here in Fedi to find out what others had done for this situation.
