@smithkm@mastodon.social generally speaking there are software like wonderdraft or inkarnate that are general map utilties for made-up maps. Cities can be generated with little effort at https://watabou.github.io/city.html or https://www.fantasytowngenerator.com/
but they all seem to assume a medieval town with no underground.
of course using blender or something like that would work, but that's a big learning curve to map out a city for a homebrew ttrpg. since so many tttpg's do involve cities and underground situations, I thought I would ask here in Fedi to find out what others had done for this situation.

@draNgNon@hachyderm.io Blender would certainly be an odd choice. Inkscape might give you the functionality you want while still being approachable. I made the attached maps each mostly with Inkscape (With bit of GIMP, QGIS and some custom software for a few things in some of them)
