@philiph@hachyderm.io at work I have two identical monitors that windows cannot tell apart. It's 50-50 whether they are correct or not every single time....
And you can't script flip the monitors left-right...

@furicle@mastodon.social according to Wikipedia the monitor edid info includes the essential number so it should be possible to uniquely identify a given monitor.

@furicle@mastodon.social I just realized the stupid answer here is that the monitors are just all reporting the same serial number, i.e. the monitors are not implementing edid correctly. You could check that pretty easily I think.
