After a few weeks writing a *lot* of book reviews (my fault, I scheduled this, no schedule survives contact right now)-- --suddenly a piece of literary theory tips over in my head -- this is why X is a common failure mode in climate fiction; this is how it functions; this is how I can go and *make it work better in my own stuff* -- and right. Enough flinging myself against people's work with the whole brain, and the pipes clear, the pumps prime, this is why I overbook myself doing this. 🙂
