I came to a public consultation about my university's stance on "AI" use. The rector joined us and was very «surprised pikachu face» when I did my exposé about the dangers, environmental and societal costs, deskilling, etc. Basically, the "stance" is a spineless normalisation of status quo with no real concern about ethics. I know I'm fighting windmills, but at least I could throw "epistemic bankruptcy" out there.
