@pojntfx@mastodon.social 🤣 You're not wrong but also NSMenuItem hasn't changed since NextSTEP and is not getting any attention from Apple, and Live activities look a lot nicer

@SuperManifolds@todon.eu Fair! Yeah I'm not a fan of menu items for so many reasons. On Linux you could use MPRIS as a hack for a live activity or you could use the background portal to re-open the app or you could write a GNOME Shell extension or Plasmoid ...
