@Ciaraioch@mastodon.ie pretty much, yep. I've had problems trying to explain it without using too much jargon but still at times end up losing the plot to where people think that they have to run and manage their own kerflunk to be able to send a bloop.

@chillicampari@layer8.space @Ciaraioch@mastodon.ie This is the explanation I used recently that I think was pretty clear (and did indeed use the email analogy): "Twitter but instead of being one big website it's a bunch of small ones. But like email if you sign up on one you can talk to people on the others"
