You get off quickly and with a spring in your step head home. On the way you notice workers putting the finishing touches on the last road-to-bike-lane transformation project in your neighborhood. Finally, you see the multi-family housing unit your polyfamily lives in. One of your partners is tinkering with the new, free solar panels that were installed last week, while the rest of them are relaxing in the communal garden out in the back. In front of the building, right on the middle of the street, children are playing some form of tag in between the trees. You barely have time to react before your kid splits away from the rest of the group and gives you a hug, squeezing with all their strength. As soon as that happens, you hear your name being shouted to the left. Turns out all your partners have gathered on the sidewalk and are waving towards you, with smiles on their faces. A warmth fills your heart, as your mind naturally wanders towards the thought: “life is good”. (3/3)
