@jenniferplusplus@hachyderm.io love love that you’re doing that for your kid! It can mean so much. My godmother used to make up stories starring me that she told me before bed. She connected them into one long-running saga spanning a couple of years but each part was episodic, sometimes inspired by things we did that day, other times based on whatever cartoons or books I was into at the time. She’d then make these drawings of me in the stories, and even though she had no actual technical skill in drawing I remember how charming the doodles were. Anyway I still remember that decades later and think back so fondly. I appreciated the extra effort.
