@HeyeBodo@rollenspiel.social yes, that was quite painful. Led to 4-5 long emails in the following days, then I decided to cut contact. The only player I ever really disinvited from a game. The social violence was in-game, but when it was answered with physical violence (in-game), the player sabotaged everything that followed. When we stopped playing, he said that our play style was horrible and some more ugly stuff to our usual GM, and caused quite some bad feelings, but our gaming group recovered.

@HeyeBodo@rollenspiel.social some time later I realized that he had only joined to prove to us that our game style was bad: we had met in a forum and discussed about violence in games and we were in disagreement whether violence can bring suspense or whether emotional turmoil is stronger. I invited him and told him that we could just try. I didn’t expect him to try to prove a play style but thought that just playing together would show what works. In a way it did … different expectations are dangerous.
