I was being sarcastic if you couldn't tell. Politicians are stereotyped as liars because the majority have always been controlled by money and power. They are and have always been mere figureheads.

If I couldn't tell that was sarcastic, then I need to just get off the net _now._ **_Permanently._** Regardless, I stand by what I said. They at one time were merely "money and power," but now they've left the veneer of civility behind, and have gone full thuggery - effectively Mafia.
