For someone five days out from phase two of FFS (and who REALLY wants to wash her hair), I don't look too bad. Nor do I look too bad for someone who just turned 60 today. For someone who spent their teen years and 20's convinced they wouldn't make it to see their 30's, this is a little surreal. There's part of my brain that realizes I'm well past the expiry date I thought I had way back when. But I'm in no hurry to get there now. I still look forward to the old woman I shall become, and delight in my changing world and body as I follow a journey that was denied too long.
