@someonetellmetosleep@chitter.xyz I use "dead" consumer UPS units that I pick up from the side of the road and replace the dead lead acid battery with a LiFePo battery (one that is sold as a "lead acid replacement" battery and has a built-in BMS).
I don't even bother changing the float voltage.
It works fine.

@runningoff@lgbtqia.space I can't immediately find a drop-in replacement for this particular model, as cyberpower seems to like using different nonstandard form-factors for every few models. do you have any more specific advice how to find these? it seems like it'd be a much cheaper option if I can do it
