Someday i'd love to play with an MNT, but not sure its daily driveable for someone like me yet.

While sure the classic and pocket are chunky with their 4cm thickness, the MNT reform next will be only 2.5cm. For context, the thinkpad x220 was 3.5cm. Ultimately, it doesn't matter. If you want a sleek x86, you can get a great deal on a refurbished dell laptop. If you want a laptop you can repair and modify, MNT publish their sources.
