@MichelPatrice@jasette.facil.services I’m conflicted. The guy admitted that his “wake up call” was when he started to feel like his own family was threatened.
I don’t understand the lack of self-awareness. The ignorance. The lack of empathy. The near-total absence of critical thinking.
Yes, congratulations for escaping. It’s commendable.
But the damage caused is incredible, maybe even incalculable — the full scope of the consequences of this lunacy may not be quantified for decades, maybe even a century.
The anti-science rhetoric and anti-vax bullshit have already undone nearly 100 years of progress on improving human health — and the institutions that enabled that progress have been damaged or destroyed.
I’m not sure that forgiveness should be so forthcoming.

@JustinDerrick@mstdn.ca @MichelPatrice@jasette.facil.services well you hit the nail on the head. No one cared until it started to affect them. Personally I feel that the people who voted for this nonsense should be mocked and ridiculed until the end of their days. The first Trump administration was a total shitshow then these idiots vote him in again? Fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on me....
