@peterjriley2024@mastodon.social Why are the young being given high rates yet they almost carry same responsibilities and expenses like the old in life?
Is their a clear reason given?

@2003MugishaPhocit@mastodon.social (53 years ago) The voting age was lowered from 21 to 18 in Australia in 1973. The post-war arguments for lowering the voting age from 21 to 18 centred on the equity of 18 year olds being old enough to fight and die but not vote.
